Chitungwiza-Marondera District Superintendent, Rev Portia Kanoyangwa has a vision to see the “Shanda Shanda” district grow as more disciples are made.

“We envisage the district will expand geographically along the highway between Ziko and Marondera,” she says.

Rev Kanoyangwa was born 31 May 1956 in Rusape and trained as a teacher at Nyadire Mission. From these humble beginnings, she felt a strong push towards ministry and became a local pastor at Sunningdale UMC in 2000. She was advised to go to Africa University and obtained a Bachelor of Divinity degree from that institution.
